Ulema Abused by their employers
![]()
| In South Africa, it is a historical fact that Ulema have been regularly dismissed from their jobs, whether this is in Islamic Schools, Madressahs or whether they served as Imaams. The South African Indian Muslim community have a history of oppressing Ulema in terms of not only their salary but sometimes even in regard to what they mention in their Friday talks. Ulema, are often financially weak and find no assistance at the point of these crucial moments. It is purely the mercy of Allah, that allows them to continue to serve Islam. |
