Notes by Ustaaz, Ahmed Fazel Ebrahim

1. Due to limitations in personnel, questions will be answered according to available data and time availability. We thus recommended that you simultaneously send your question to a few other institutions or persons, Ulema and Muftis who answer fatawa to attempt a quicker response. We would appreciate to learn from their answers and receive their exact and unchanged original responses.

1.1. Questions may be forwarded by us to other institutions of Islamic learning or other Islamic jurists in order to acquire an answer or other viewpoints on the question in the event where we require further clarification or do not have the answer. In such a case, private details of the party and persons, who present the question, will be concealed. Likewise, any answers which are placed on the web for public view will be void of any personal references.

2. An allocation is made for all mazaahib (Arabic plural form of mazhab) and differences of opinion within scholars and jurists of any mazhab. These  will also be provided if time allows and the panel of the research team extends.

3. An emphasis will given towards answering the questions with reference to the verses of the Qur'an and juridical inferences made by the erudite Fuqaha from the hadith and through the Usul (principles of jurisprudence) that they have developed or followed. This format will not be undertaken in the event of time constraints.
